ABOUT THE FILM
Culture Jamming was filmed in the course
of a jaunt around Melbourne which lasted about an hour and
a half. The editing down took somewhat longer than this. There
was very little preparation -- what you see is real life,
hardcore explosions of purest BAM. We used a basic DV handycam-type
thing, generously lent to us by the silly people at AIM.
Melvin really did want to go for lunch, and continually asked
when this would happen.
The film first screened at The
Nakedfella Comics Launch Party in October 2001. It next
appeared at the 2002 RMIT Student Film & Video Festival,
where it got voted "third-best film" by the audience.
Then it screened at the Next
Wave Festival's Megabite, where it again came in third.
As you can see, the sky truly is the limit!
